Snell Legal Supports Two Great Causes Teaming Up The Volusia Flagler Family YMCA and Vince Carter's Embassy of Hope Foundation

Sunrise

Snell Legal has for many years supported the Volusia Flagler Family YMCA and Vince Carter's Embassy of Hope Foundation, two very worthy causes. This year the two have come together with the Y the named beneficiary of the Foundation. This also happens to be the 120th anniversary of the game of basketball, invented by the Y and perfected by Vince so there couldn't be a more perfect match. The theme for the Charity Gala on March 5 at the Ocean Center will be an anniversary tribute. There are many exciting things planned for this event and it is bound to be a fun filled evening.

The Foundation will also host Vince Carter's Charity Golf Classic at LPGA International on July 17 and Vince Carter's Texas Hold 'Em Poker Tournament at the Daytona Kennel Club on July 31. If you are interested in attending any of these events you can call the Foundation at 386.239.8215 or e-mail them at ann@vincecarter15.com. You can also find additional information at the Foundation website at vincecarter15.com. And don't forget Vince Carter's, the outstanding restaurant on LPGA Boulevard near the intersection of I-95. Thanks to the generosity of Vince Carter, and his mother Michelle Carter-Scott, through the Foundation and personally, millions of dollars have been donated to a multitude of causes in our area.

Similarly, the Y, like the Foundation a 501(c) (3) non-profit, provides more than $720,000.00 on an annual basis to allow those who could not otherwise afford to participate in the Y. Nobody is turned away from the Y. With facilities throughout Volusia and Flagler Counties the Y has roughly 20,000 members, more than any other organization, and touches nearly half of the population in one way or another during the course of a year. Because of the Foundation and the Y, both devoted to children, parents, and families, our community is a much better place.

If you are interested in helping with the Y Community Campaign, which is the annual fund for the Y, go to the Y website at vfymca.org. Everybody deserves the Y and through you it can be possible.

Attorney Greg Snell is currently the Chairman of the Corporate Board for the Y and has been involved with the Y as a board member for 20 years. Snell Legal has also had the privilege of assisting Vince Carter with the legal work for Vince Carter's, the restaurant. Snell Legal is proud to be affiliated with both of these fine charities and those associated with them.
