Attorney Greg Snell spoke to a gathering of medical practice managers in Daytona Beach on April 6 at a lunch and learn event hosted by the Volusia County Medical Society and sponsored by Radiology Associates. Mr. Snell provided a general overview of employment law with a focus on issues which typically arise in medical practices and other small businesses. Included among the focus points were overtime, unemployment, discrimination, and retaliation employee claims. This is the first of three planned presentations, the other two to be in New Smyrna Beach and DeLand.

Mr. Snell began his career in Miami defending medical malpractice lawsuits over 25 years ago and he has represented doctors, hospitals, and medical practices ever since. His services for medical practices have expanded to include employment agreements, non-compete and non-solicitation agreements, partner/shareholder buy-ins and buy-outs, regulatory matters, and much more. He is often asked to review employment agreements for physicians who have been offered a position and give counsel. Mr. Snell provides representation to all types of health care providers, including dentists and chiropractors.

He speaks and writes regularly on topics of interest to medical practices, including particularly employment agreements and restrictive covenants. Mr. Snell speaks and writes on other topics as well of interest to business owners. He has recently spoken to the Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University MicaPlex tenants and partners on intellectual property; to attorneys at a Volusia County Bar Association seminar on attorney fees; and to the Student Paralegal Association at Daytona State College on how to be a successful business law paralegal. In 2015 Mr. Snell was named a top rated healthcare attorney by Martindale-Hubbell.
