Greg Snell Speaks on HIPAA to Daytona Beach Chapter of AAPC

Attorney Greg Snell recently spoke to the Daytona Beach Chapter of the American Academy of Professional Coders on the topic of the Health Information Portability and Accountability Act ("HIPAA"). Professional coders enter and submit proper coding information for medical services in order for the medical service providers to be paid. HIPAA impacts the work of coders because individually identifiable personal health information is required to be kept confidential and secure under HIPAA.

Mr. Snell frequently speaks and writes and has previously spoken before such organizations as the Volusia County Medical Society, the Flagler County Medical Society, the Florida Chamber of Commerce, the Flagler County Personnel Association, the Volusia Manufacturers Association among many others. He has written for such publications as the Volusia/Flagler Business Report, the American Journal of Trial Advocacy and the newsletters for the Halifax Insurance Plan, Inc. and the Volusia County Medical Society.
